Southview Veterinary Hospital was established in 1970 by Neil Walker, DVM. In 1980, he sold the practice to his youngest brother, Brad Walker, DVM. Misti May, DVM, purchased the practice in 2002 and Gisell Robertson, DVM became Southview’s new owner in 2023. Dr. Robertson is excited to continue to provide the best possible veterinarian care to McPherson and the surrounding communities.
In 2004, the middle Walker brother, Boyd Walker, DVM, retired from a teaching career and returned to McPherson to join the Southview staff. Boyd and his wife Sharon moved home to the family farm and have a wonderful environment to share with their extended family; their three children, Elizabeth, Rachel and Ethan; and their three grandchildren, Esme`, Jack, and Lucy.
Dr. Gisell Robertson, and Dr. Boyd Walker lead our veterinary health care team. Our entire staff is committed to outstanding customer service and patient care. Our doctors and team members are dedicated to the bond between people and their pets. We try to establish strong client relationships. This enables us to help direct your decision-making when it comes to the healthcare needs of each pet. We also value your time and try to keep appointments on schedule with a limited wait time for your family.
